DrywallCalc

About DrywallCalc

DrywallCalc exists because drywall is cheap and second trips are not.

Drywall math is the friendliest arithmetic in construction — area divided by sheet area, plus waste — yet every hardware store employee has met the buyer who returned three times. The count discipline is one margin, applied once.

The calculators cover the full list: sheets by board size, mud and tape by sheet count, screws by the application pattern, and the material total — with the layout tips (ceilings first, staggered joints) that turn counts into finished walls.

We are educators, not suppliers. Nothing here sells board, and your room measurements never leave your browser.

What makes DrywallCalc different

  • Your numbers never leave your browser. Every calculator on DrywallCalc runs entirely on your device. We never see, store, or transmit the figures you enter — there are no accounts and no server-side processing of your inputs.
  • Published methodology. Each calculator page explains the exact formula it uses and the assumptions behind it, so you can check our work or reproduce it in a spreadsheet.
  • Free, forever, without a paywall. DrywallCalc is supported by advertising. There is no premium tier, no email gate, and no upsell.
